I think Brunch and Munch in UD town has some double pricing with their drinks

Have read on forums before about dual pricing re food n drinks,restaurants in tourist areas having a thai and a farang menu but a farang owner insisting paying from the farang menu,a cheeky blighter in my book,also remember, think Thaiger, showed a biz once advertising on a chalkboard outside in thai saying thai price and farang price for drinks

Neverending hassles and now the tourist fee coming june 1st, 300 baht for arrivals by air, to be added to your flight ticket presumably

First time I've heard of dual pricing for Beer and Food!

The national parks and stuff I don't care about. My way of thinking is the dirty falang / blackies / brownies are paying the standard price and the thai's are getting a subsided price to allow them to enjoy these places that would be too expensive otherwise.

But when they start charging more for a beer that is outrageous! Bloody chicken heads

We visited a beachside Italian restaurant for a drink one lunchtime, paid and left. I mentioned to my g/f that her beer (small Chang) had been charged at THB 90. She disagreed saying she thought it was THB 60.

The food looked nice (it was pretty average actually) so we went back for dinner and I showed her that I was correct with the beer marked at 90 on the menu. She pointed to a separate page, where there was another small list in Thai with Chang marked at 60. When she queried with a waiter he said it was Thai price which she didn't qualify for as she was with a falang. Pretty sure the place is actually owned by a falang too.

Well, Japanese get screwed as well. In Venice, 4 japanese students got charged 1,000 euros for 4 steaks and water ..... they paid up but complained to the police. Guess the nationality of the restaurant owner ........

40-50 baht at roadside stall. okay, even if ludicrously

high rents 70-80 baht taking the piss the woman charged

twice that 200% or 150baht its blatantly dishonest

Agree with mooning. As far as I can tell, variable pricing is based more on race than nationality. Whitey pays more. Slope-faced mongoloids get a rebate.

If the price to high I don't buy - done and dusted ;o)
