Popped in this afternoon, after a long absence, to check out the new digs. Looking damn comfy for an afternoon munch and some sipping. Scan of the menu and wares, always a pleasure. Why aren't my rolls that soft and tasty....

Picked up a Meatball sandwich and an ice cold Thatcher to wash it down with. Too inexpensive not to try, as a bit ignorant about ciders. Though may take me a while finishing the others that found their way into the car, since not the drinker I used to be. Ree looking forward to some bbq bird, somtam, so off to NPJ for small picnic and the newest tourist attraction.

Thatcher..............pretty good stuff, nice, light, refreshing for a hot afternoon...... ++)(* ++)(* ++)(*

Not only a chain saw but also a health plan for impending arterial disasters

Thatchers do some wonderful ciders , I watched a documentary a few years back about brewing traditional ciders from a west country family that have been brewing them for centuries - did you know that for a cider to be considered as a true cider it should be 7% volume and should never be served cold .....take note ye novices ;-)
Crikey - Beatus drinking cider :muscle: welcome to civilisation old chap -we'll soon have you eating fried breakfasts watching football and cricket and moaning about Europe  - whatever next ?? a morris dance down soi samphan

Ciders….was thinking about the hot vs cold drinking temp, as only other alcohol fruit beverages besides wine, would be hot toddys, with a bit of rum and spices. Man, that warms you up on a freezing night, and makes the house smell great.

Wines also, reds, barely chilled, if at all, just not hot room temp, and whites, very chilled. Beer of course, as cold as you can get it, the heavy ones not necessary ice ice cold, but plain lager, extremely cold.

The Thatcher’s was pretty good, especially for hot weather, nice, light and refreshing, though a bit of a chicky’s drink, fruity, but good. Not sure if I would want to drink a box on a bender.

Haven’t gotten to the other ones yet, maybe after cutting the lawn this weekend, if I get to it. Can't drink Lao Darks all the time, well, actually I could, damn tasty. Ciders are nice change though. I'll be experimenting some more.
