Dean where have you decided to park your cart? Where is the Man with the Nan operating from?

By the way, the cart looks real good and the food excellent.

yes it's kebab ..sort of. but not a pitta pocket bread, naan bread has a much softer and chewier texture, the bread also has yogurt and herbs in. sometimes seeds depending on what you like, and with kebabs your sort of limited to the middle eastern flavors, naan breads on the other hand can be filled with just about anything, Indian, middle eastern, Jamaican, Mexican Cajun, or even turn it into a pizza. always best strait off the hot plate. wife was eating one with just honey on. and if all else fails fill it with bacon lettuce and tomato. or just use it to mop up the last of your curry. brilliant stuff

no firm choice yet, but I believe soi crazy has been ruled out due to the people down there not having enough money to feed themselves after they pay their bins in the bar  . first I think it will be at a local market, mind you its been selling well just on my drive. will let everyone know asap

sadly seems about right, a few of us over sunday lunch were talking about the " good old days" back when DN just opened, loads of people out every night, forum meet ups, 70b to the pound, no ladyboys, friendly farangs. in the years I have been in udon its changed so much, now all you seem to hear about is fights, murders, suicides, Yabba heads, ladyboys in DN, over pricing,. I remember 2000b would get you a good night out and the company of a warm lady and cold beers. now its warm beer, cold women and is that guy looking at me. sadly I calculate it would be a waste of time putting the naan van in sampan, simply not enough foot traffic.
back to nann sandwiches, two new ones yesterday, I got an urge , so a chip naan butty was called for (diet out the window), if your a fan of chip butties I would highly recommend it, and a customer had a couple of meatball and cheese naans to go, if it carries on like this the van will never make it off the drive :D

How about a fortnightly pitch at Udon Thani football homes games. They attract over 3,000 fans to the games and you could hand out leaflets to customers showing where your regular pitch is.

cool just the sort of place to go, lots of foot traffic, and hungry people. 1% of those people would make it worth the journey, plus walking street Friday sat nights, a few more come to mind. just putting some finishing touches too it, a customer just came around and had a rolled ham and mushroom pizza sandwich, loved it,said it looks like a giant burrito. also nice compliment about it looking like a quaint mobile French restaurant with a salad bar. another couple of nice customers loved it so much they asked if I could make 4 extra naan breads to take away, " no problem" I said.
