quiets not the word, but august and sept are always slack months, rain is not helpful either. gives me a bit of time to catch up on a few diy jobs though. and time to try out a few new recipes. one good recipe was an attempt at a pumpkin cake, like carrot cake using pumpkin, more cinnamon and nutmeg, sort of pumpkin pie in a cake form , came out very nice, blueberry cake a complete failure though, sorry about no toad in the hole pic but by the time it was ready I was so hungry I could of ate a dead donkey on a bail of straw

morning lads, just for you guys on this damp chilly morning, I got thick chunky vegetable soup, huge portion and as much bread as you want 60 baht,
and on another subject, last nights pop quiz was a right laugh , as usual me and little Allen won with a score of 396 against the Canadians 21 1/2

well I have been asked twice in a week so i'm on the case this morning, vegetarian pie's, mixed veg, broccoli, carrots ,peas etc. in a creamy white sauce, not vegan as I use milk and butter for the sauce, and crispy puff pastry ,ready for mid day

veggie pies out the oven now, steak and ale pies a possibility, spam pies are a no go due to cultural and religious reasons (plus spam is more expensive than steak )
