if you like star gazing, like myself, i would simply hang out the night of the 12th - 13th - 14th so not to miss, as it will probably go for a couple days anyway, as most do....... ++)(* ++)(* i've seen some nice ones here, when in rice paddy land. sadly, i may miss, as probably in bkk... *****

: To be honest that was shite. Not worth losing a nights sleep for IMO. If that's what you call interesting you ought to have a serious word with yourself!

i've laid out at the house in rice paddy land and watched quite a few of them. some rather nice, some ok. the nice ones have a streak every couple minutes, and a couple nice ones every hour. doesn't take a whole lot of effort to get comfy at the house, nice drink, warm body to cuddle up with and watch the stars, or the meteors if a shower about, if not, always watch the grass grow or howl at the moon. something i always enjoyed. ++)(*
the present one, if viewable should be decent, i'll be at the land we bought out of town tomorrow at 4 ish, as actually need to be there in the early AM anyway, the well guy is digging tomorrow, actually getting there tonight and sleeping in truck. which i understand is a bit modified, so he gets stopped during the day and fined. so he only travels at night or pre dawn. if nothing tomorrow AM, will probably try again, midnight or next pre dawn. well worth it for me. as i'll go to nong khai just to sit and watch the big muddy flow by and have a munch and overnight. this is much easier.... ++)(* ++)(*
5 AM not a F'g meteor in sight, but no stars either, a bit overcast, though the well guys are camped out, so i backed out and hanging at the local lake, w/morning coffee. forgot how nice and quiet village life was, few roosters in the distance.............pure bliss...................... ++)(* ++)(*

Just went for a walk along the beach. It's a dark cosmic night with many bright stars. Saw a few shooting stars with tails. Magic!

First time I’ve stargazed in a long time. Saw a few, but didn’t stay out long, as it seemed to be getting more overcast. With some low clouds and a bit of glare from them, even though in rice paddy land. But worth the effort….. ++)(*
