Why not try a traditional pasty .... Mutton, potatoes, onion, carrots and seasoning at one end ... PLUS a desert at the other end (apple and custard?)
Hold it by the crust with your dirty black coal incrusted hands and only eat the soft middle parts ....
A pasty is a Pasty <:> what ever it has in it

To put paid to any misgivings, some might have regarding the taste or otherwise of deans pies and pasties, let me tell you as a person who does know good tasty and well made food, my opinion
The Pork Pies made either with or without wholemeal flour ( with the bits in ) are very good.
The pasties made (with or without sweetcorn and the like ) are very good.
The bread brown or white is very good
In fact all foods are good whether you have to cook them , suasages or just warm them up a tad pies and the like.
So those opf you who decry the recipe as not to your liking that is of course your choice, but for me having tasted pies and pasties from the UK ( including Cornwall ) to the USA, Germany,Australia and many countries in SE Asia including China , then they are good and very very eatable.
And before anyone gets smart ideas, I do not nor ever will get anything ofr this nor do I want anything. Just my personal opinion being a self proclaimed connoisseur of the cooked stuff.

I just made a couple of fish burritos with the "
spiced" flour tortillas I got yesterday. Tortillas are excellent! ++)(*
Last night, I thawed out, the large Mixed Fruit Pie with lattice crust on top. Excellent as well  .
What's even better...my wife thought the fruit filling was too "
preaw" (sour). Translation: more for me
.

you know its a very slippery slope, first you give them a piece of your pie, and next thing somehow you bought them a house, car and a farm?
anyway ive been a bit tied up for a few days as i got a call at 6 am the other morning from my ex from the uk,we split up 18 years ago. "where are you " i said. "i'm sitting in udon bus station" she replied. ***** . good news was she was'nt here to stab me.
i did manage to get some mango chutney made and am desperately trying to keep up with all you you pie eaters. and finaly got my puff pastry sausage rolls recipe perfect, theres a finnish guy thats bought 14 of them in 2 days, see thats what happens when you let your thai wife try a sausage roll .
