Sorry to learn of the death of Ralph Cusens yesterday. Don't have any details, just read it on line. One of the original founders of this forum. My sincere condolences goes to his wife Nom.

Ralph and I enjoyed a bit of fishing time together and he was always an entertaining conversationalist. His efforts early on helped to establish Udon Talk and set the platform for many years of enjoyable exchanges between members.

Sad to hear.

Ralph was ex- Hampshire Regt, which is why I used to call him Sgt-Major Cusens. I think he was also a senior man in the Hampshire ambulance service.
I met him a couple of times on those night market meets the forum used to do.
The man who never was.

Details of the cremation etc.
It will take place on Thursday 4th Feb. Gathering at his house from 11am, proceeding to the temple just after midday with the actual cremation scheduled for 3pm .Coming from Udon the turning is on the right shortly after the traffic lights, you must do a U turn and back track a little bit as it is a dual road , there is a large portrait of HM on the corner, Ralph's house is about 50 yards along on your left. The temple is further on till the end of the same road, you can't miss it .The English name for the place is as far as I can make it.Wat Luang Poo Main.Ban Nang Sang, Tambon Non Bua Bahn .
I will copy the invite which your Thai translator may be able to make more sense of .
