Perusing the menu & didn’t realise how extensive it is. Might pass on the Sunday lunch next week & just go off the regular menu
See if you can get the Cumberland sausage, bangers and mash or Cumberland sausage pizza. Mmm pomps will tell ya
I think they are advertised as redwine cumberland sausages so niggly might pass, picts back in the thread re the pizza, have to order to go with their full english, sausage patties just does not give that satisfying visual look for a breakfast, need a sausage ,Dm would agree about a sausage but in different circumstances

Don’t often eat it but I’ve got a right hankering for a lamb & mint sauce Sunday roast.
Haven’t been for a couple of weeks so maybe this is the week

Go on give it a whirl, reasonably priced in there but do understand bookings now needed.only gripe is they bring out the roast with the gravy already applied,do like to do myself in the yorkshire and over veg, maybe i should just ask next time,no harm asking for to do it yourself, very easygoing in there.
Had the mixed berry crumble today swimming in i presume custard normally like custsrd more yellow but nevertheless enjoyable
So no apple crumble but they mentioned apricot crumble, did not have sweet n sour pork option, only available chicken or fish so will try the fish option next time, twas a large meal. Spare ribs are on the specials board as an option or chicken with spinach filling

Used to be lamb available at jays place but still not been there to try, someone said he has stopped the roasts through lack of sales or lack of chefs, should have asked the chap more in depth questions but already had a skinful down my local

Decision made.
Lamb for lunch tomorrow.
I was hoping to dine alone but the tribe has decided to accompany me. I suppose you can’t have everything

Thought it looked a bit quiet but then noticed a 20 seat reservation set up.
Glad they suggest booking for Sunday lunch

Fug me the table now for 22 is noisy. I got a right old headache coming on. It would have probably helped if they’d seated near who they wanted to talk to instead of shouting the full distance.
Just waiting for pud & we’re on our way

The lamb roast was spot on. I’ll order that again.
1½ bread & butter puddings (The Boy couldn’t finish) has sorted me for this afternoon.
Time to work on my sofa arse groove & watch YouTube
