That's not too far from me....well the few days a year I actually get to be in udon that is.

Is the T bar any good? (Genuine question) as could see myself using it.

Well in my opinion a bar, is , a bar. However this one is run by Steve & Malee, ex Irish Clock and other places over the years , fame. Steve is a very affable mine host and Malee is an excellent cook. It is in no way a girlie type establishment so doesn't tend to attract the sort of customers looking for that and from what I have seen it's customer base is mainly guy's that enjoy a good sensible chat over a pint or two. whilst it does have quite an extensive menu, including the best fish and chips in Udon, in my view, eating there is not compulsory, your just as welcome to pop in for pint .
Prices are reasonable and seating is at bar or tables in an open garden setting .Lots of parking outside.
Hope to see you there then Rick.
Thanks to everyone that voted For Boris, this day 31/1/20 would never have happened without your historic win.

Ah yes, T-Bar, actually can't think of a better place to meet up, though not close to me, like it is to Brick......YOU YOU YOU... lucky b*****d.

Hams........I could see it being you favorite place. ++)(* ++)(*

You'll never be disappointed for a munch and / or drink at the T'-Bar, though haven't been yet myself, maybe tonight's munch, But Steve and Mali, as long as I've been here, have set the bar (t-bar  ) for the restaurant and bar industry in Udon Thani. Along with TJ's, the only expat managed ones still in existence, serving the expat and local community the whole time I've lived in Udon, 13 + years. I've followed them around to where ever they were set up, for my meat pie fix. Really nice when they moved out of town, as Mali's Kitchen was just around the corner from my old digs, and didn't even need to drive on the ring rd.... ++)(* Now an easy hop from St. Mary's, wrong direction, but well worth the small effort.

It's a great neighborhood restaurant / watering hole, and if no familiar faces in there, then Steve is always a personable host. Much more restaurant than bar and serving much more food than suds, and would not hesitate to take the family, including kids of any age for a meal.

Hope he never honors those thoughts of retiring.........about 3 times already. We all knew he'd be back.....

Got my meat pie fix, and it just doesn't get any better. Same great food, service and prices from last time there, about 2 yrs. <:>

Might pop in again tomorrow, see how the voting goes....
