Yes, of all the chains the could use a 2nd mega store, Makro is it. the Na Di lotus and Big C are not busy / deserted, respectfully. I rarely shop at either anymore. Just Makro for us, and 8 AM on Saturday usually...... ++)(*

had 6 samosas yesterday just to test....the best bar food for years. had 12 left so froze them to see how good they come out today,spot on..i'm going to make 50 tomorrow,ready for the afternoon. but customer reaction tonight was "how quick can you make them"..."bargain bucket full" i said
. not sure about the price, but somewhere around 80 baht for 10...and i dont think 50 will be around long for sure.let you know more tomorrow.think i better try for 100. oh and tandoori masala 80 baht for a 350g tub.if you like indian you will love this.and 2 big garlic naan for 50 baht too

Thanks for having a stab at the mango pie. The first picture of the 3 your posted is closest to what I was after except that looks like a slice from a larger pie and I always liked the 'individual serving' sized ones... a bit smaller than your pork pies. I guess the trick is not having the mango juice make the pastry all soggy on the bottom. The rhubarb pies that I have seen on rare occasions seem to use apple on the bottom layer to keep the pastry base drier since rhubard gets all runny like mango when baked.
If you manage mango crumble, I will have to try that.

up and at it early,mango tart looks yummy i'm yet to try it, i know a way of making mango pie so the pastry dont get soggy,mango is at a good price so i will pop out and get some more today and make some pies too

Yes, it is the best time of year for sweet mango so knock yourself out. I hope you have some pies left on Monday as I am in Bangkok right now.
PS. If I bring back some rhubarb....?

bring it in and i will bake it or if you want i will pre make and bake the crumble mix for you so you just sprinkle it over the rhubarb
,the crumble is also good just on ice cream. well made the indian samosas yesterday and found i had extra pastry sheets left...so
: how about tex mex samosas,spicy tex mex pork,lots of cheese and jalapenos

i've been having some potato salad cravings as of late :lol: tops in patters had an actual
deli counter with different varieties available
don't think tops here does that?does
papafarangs make that on occasion? i've yet to even go explore at villa

just put a feash batch of potato salad in villa last night,i also sometimes make curry salad or even potato with piccalilli
