Needed to go to Ngee Soon today out pass the airport, figured Bank there would not be busy, which was correct. But the whole experience was a bad trip, Really put me off my day.
Ok, I should have known that I needed to fill out a slip for a draft, but wasn't thinking, so use to US banks.
Long story, but 20 or so mins. later walked out with a bank draft.
Oh by the way, does anyone know what a "Bank Draft" cost?
Later while shopping in Ngee Soon I decided to count my change, seems like I got a "free" bank draft plus 10 baht. On way out was thinking would check, but to many waiting. Think someones cash draw is going to be short. Or they were trying to make up for the trouble to get the dam draft. Got me.
Next time will use the main branch.

Re: American Consular Outreach Service
Another successful Outreach. Thank you ACS. About 100 people were served. Ubon American Legion were on hand, thank you. Wardens Bill Brown, Al Fitchett, Burt Marohl, Gus Mackay were on hand. A few glitches with the bank drafts and the mailing bank draft.

Yes. a bIg THANKS to all who make it possible, saving us expats great expense and time to acquire necessary paperwork and service out the front door, instead of a long haul to Krung Thep embassy.
Just to add, cashier checks would not have been accepted, as I asked, since almost got one by mistake the day before, cancelled out and 'bank draft' issued. Only cost 10 baht at BKK Bank.
Also, drafts only accepted from banks listed. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Don't know because of the Bank Drafts or not, but instead of spending an hour or so, this time it took about 10 mins. and so made me early for everything else on my list.

Really depends when you go. I'm always one of the last to arrive, after 1130 hrs, and rarely have someone in front of me. Most of any time there is me filling out the form.
