here's a mad recipe for you... or should I say DING DONG

1000g granny smith apples
500g mixed orange and lemon peel
1000g dried cherries
1000g dried plums
4000g black sultanas
2000g gold sultanas
1100g brown sugar
500g flaked almonds
1100g beef suet
500g flour
500g breadcrumbs
10 large eggs
20g cinnamon
30g nutmeg
20g allspice
400ml brandy
and a partridge in a pear tree
mix and steam for 8 hours **

hi lads back from blighty. so much to catch up on , lots of goodies in my bags. cheese and more cheese, sadly the vintage mature did not make it in one piece. anyone fancy nice cheeses better be quick, got loverly fruit cheeses for crimbo, wenslydale with apricot and brandy ect. anyway just to let you know that sunday lunch is on today and we now have thai food so the wives will be happy.

back from frolicking on the french riviera , sampling cheeses & fine wines ,
swapping recipes - menus , and other savoir faire essentials for todays modern chef :!:

Welcome back RBM :D . We are in sore need of your stabilizing influence on the forums. :lol:

So...when can we expect the Christmas goodies? IE: sweet mince pies, Xmas puddings, fruitcakes, etc.

should all be done by the end of the week. also got cranberry sauce and Christmas jam .to make got jet lag today so I think an afternoon nap is called for.
anyway if anyone needs a turkey cooking for Christmas get in touch as I will be doing a turkey cooking service for Christmas eve and Christmas day
