1st Saturday Monthly Meet Up

Ok, I was going to call it LA’s meet up, but since I only make about half of them anyway, scheduling, just 1st Saturday will do. No need to guess where, at BHC (BookHouse and Coffee shop). Start time 6:30 ish PM. I personally will probably be there a bit earlier, if dining and catching up on internet. Most folks arrive about 6-7 PM, which if a footie that night, can socialize and move on to elsewhere to watch or what ever. Quality western and thai food available at average, mid and upper ranges. You get what you pay for and always a value ……..IMHO.

Not to conflict with other expat meet ups; one during the week, and one on 2nd Saturday at NM, that I know of. So it’s back to BHC on the first Saturday of every month. Starting this coming month, December 1st.

The venue will remain the same, until suggested and voted to change, by those attending, and that vote will be held at the venue only, BHC.

This thread is simply for a heads up / reminder / directions if needed. Recommendations for accommodations if staying in town, due to distance or enjoyment factor, just ask if not familiar with location or options. Personally I would stay at RuySuk 1 or 2, very close, and #1 within walking distance, though can get a bit busy and noisy at times. # 2 w/pool, when weather is co-operating, and 400 / 500 baht, I think.

BHC has easy access from ring road, or just out of downtown, so traffic and parking shouldn’t be a problem. Lovely setting, across from Nong Sim Park.

Come one, come all. UT / UM / Expats - R - Us, whoever, whatever. As not affiliated with anything or anyone. Just some of the past regulars and hopefully new friends meeting and solving the world’s problems and having a laugh.

Ladies of course welcome, as Ree travels with me, and past regulars always have their lovelies with them. So always someone to chat with. Them Nonger folks, if in the area, been a while. Maybe we can get some of them other yanks to pop back in for a visit, as long overdue, from past meetings.

actually, the numbers are just fine. those who attend know that. and lets try to keep this related to the 1st saturday meet up. any other thoughts can be done on the SS thread.

!00% agree with you LA and the location is perfect and I can see in my eyes why no one should have any objection . The hosts Jeremy and Nok plus the food they offer can not be beaten in my opinion. No disrespect to Dean who has on the last 2 occassions provided some wonderful food for the meetings. Well done Dean and a big thank you from me.

I am not sure yet if I can make this meet on 1st Saturday December but hope that I can. If not then you can rest assured I will be at the next one on first Saturday in January.
