Kingdom celebrates Wan Chatramongkhol (Coronation Day) May 5

Sunday, May 5 marks the 63rd anniversary of the Coronation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. The day is celebrated as a national holiday; since this year it falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on Monday May 6, and as such all government offices and commercial banks will close for the day. ATMs and most currency exchange booths, however, will remain open

For those who don't know and a reminder for those who do. Tuesday 1 July is a bank holiday in Thailand and all banks will be closed. It is not a public holiday and will not affect any Gov't offices.

You something else. Sarcastic answers just about every thread you participate in. Tell the person who needs a letter from the bank for proof of funds for his retirement visa which machine he should use.

No sarcasm, didn't want to make you look uninformed (stupid) as all the things you mentioned I have done without leaving the confines of my office with the exception of changing dollars to baht, which I do at the ATM;o)

can't remember last time I needed the services of a branch office. online banking and atm transfers work, if needed. unless going to Laos, no need for USD.
though good heads up, as Thais don't utilize electronic banking, as a whole anyway. Ree only visits the branch, once a year or so, when they call to move funds to avoid being taxed............... ++)(*
unless purchasing something that needs a physical deposit / transfer................damn stone age here. *()(*^
