Emergency Hotline #s

Post by Flyin' High » Fri Apr 12, 2019 7:30 am

Just in case out and about, some national hotline #s you should have handy. Always best to know your 'direct' local numbers for services, especially if having health issues. Local Doc / Hosp of your choice on your phone would be a big plus.

Be Safe

So you've called all those #s, and that's your personal observations...............

Thai hotlines, manned by Thais, servicing the 69+ million Thais in country ........ go figure.

My wife was pissed off when she noticed everything in the USA wasn't in Thai script, or nobody spoke Thai all the time .... :shock:

Unless you travel extensively by your lonesome, and or, if having on oops, there are no Thais around to assist, then I guess you're screwed. Point of post was a head up, to maybe..........just maybe, download the pic to your phone, and JIC, it's available for you, or to show to them damn, useless, ignorant, Thais, that may notice your distress, though probably ignore you, as that's what they do, but JIC you meet that 1 nice Thai, you could simply point and say 'chewy dewy', of something close.

I really do wonder why you live here at times. :roll:

Thankyou for your kind useless words, the time I needed it I was in fact alone on a highway at night, now although I note your ridiculous comments and your supposition of my thoughts in living here. I do feel that if as is stated that these are emergency numbers , and as English is the main other language spoken by many, many foreigners, some attempt at a dual language would be appropriate. Unlike the States where having travelled there extensively, half speak Spanish the rest speak American English in all its varied forms, like the Uk English is spoken in many varied forms.
Thais have over 70 current spoken languages, although Thai is the main one learnt I accept that but that English is slowly becoming the second language.

Your comments as usual smack of racist undertones but I understand that is the norm in your country, having experienced it first hand . Why you live here I have no clue, but you do so do not be so damn insulting OK ! Yank !!

Thank you. I, for one, am grateful. Lived here 10 years, often asked wife and/or g/f what numbers to call but, never had numbers so concisely to hand.

Good post FH ++)(*

Very useful for farangs who bother to try to integrate with their chosen country of residence although I'm sure if some of the more conceited expats choose to shout loud enough then Johnny Foreigner will surely understand

Lets not forget Pizza Company 1112 is also an emergency number :rofl:

You're assuming that ex-pats reading LA's OP have minimal knowledge of the Thai language. There are some on here who are quite proficient.
