Checked the place out yesterday evening.
Great place indeed.
Good food, modestly priced, had an enjoyable evening.
(mosquito repellent recommended)
Thanks, Khun of the Hill, for a great tip!

Okay, you're at the new holy monument by HM the Prince of Thailand's residence at the corner of Nong Prajak.

You turn right onto Porniyom Road as if you were going to TJs. (The opposite direction leads to Good Everything and the general hospital.)

There's a new roundabout before you get to the major set of traffic lights.

You can only do one of things when you hit the roundabout, turn right as if you were going to TJs, or left.

Turn left and you will see this place on your right hand side of the road. It's the first brightly lit place that you see.

'Wan Siam' is not written in English. Just ask one of the staff on the gate "Wan Siam, kap?" and you're there!

I really like tips for eating out, and this one is appreciated, but the road map is a bit too cryptic for me. Maybe it is because I live out of the city, that I don't master the Udon lingo.
Please help me out!

I went there for the first time last night to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Very impressive.

Beautiful open setting with shelter and large fans.

Platefuls of delicious, reasonably priced classic Thai/Isaan fusion food, a great live band and large bottles of Archa for 60 baht.

As you go past AUA on Nong Prajak, heading away from Wattana Hospital, turn right as if you were heading to TJ's and then take an immediate left at the new roundabout. It's the first place on your right.

If you can't speak Thai, you will need to go with a local.

It starts to get busy at about 8pm and stays open until around midnight. It was packed when I left at 23:30.
