Ok, taste buds in Italian mode, lasagna, pizza, alfredo / tomato sauce pasta, cannelloni / manicotti, tiramisu for desert or homemade Italian ice cream.
Sadly, these were NOT the offerings this afternoon, as I wonder how you could offer those on a buffet and even think about breaking even.
Buffet offerings included…..fish, pork, chicken, beef steaks, accompanied by salad, somtam, tasty fried rice, French fries, macaroni mixture (spirals and some veggies), garlic bread, ok, something Italian, washed down with bottled water (not included). Sliced fruit for desert.
Buddy had fish, ok, Ree ordered but never received chicken, I went with beef, 3 small orders, making one, which was ok, decent gravy on top. Somtam was ok, as mentioned, rice tasty, first 2 plates flavored with yellow curry, 3rd not. Salad was basic lettuce / cucumber / onion, FF are self explanatory, macaroni mix, ok, and to change daily. Garlic bread, good, 2nd order better, as hot. Meat selection were hot, prepared when ordered.
So if doing the buffet, arrive late, around 1 pm, as everything should be fresher and hotter than our first serving. It is not self serve, order your meat and the rest came, even though we ordered the rest anyway, I believe they simply serve the rest anyway, maybe. Decent crowd, mostly thai, guess I was the farang guinea pig, thank you. Ok, will I return, probably not for the buffet, as there are others, better selection and values around town, and I prefer to self serve.
The regular menu, looks as good as always, mid to high end, for this CC, very varied selection. Pizzas look good, again, huge selection, around 250 to 350, without extras. Thin or thick crust, may return for that, after a review or 2.
Taste buds disappointed, as in Italian mode, but left w/full stomach, so no major complaints.
Closed for lunch on 21 /22 of every month, and all day, one day a month, which I forget. Setting was pleasant inside, and more outside, most should be in the shade, so if it gets a bit cooler, also a pleasant seating area.
they close after lunch and open at 5 pm for dinner crowd............
