UDON SOCIAL

All my ventures into Udon are dictated by traffic and available parking if going to a vendor, and why we don't go to Udon too much, unless mid day. Eat late brekkie at house, so unless late after noon, before school run at 5 PM, don't bother eating in town.

Back to my Saturday only school runs, thankfully, maybe a couple more sundays till Oct, then none......so can't see much dining in town in the future during the week. No great loss to the vendors, especially western managed, as eat most at home anyway.

On topic and new topic started, Piccola Roma / Mill Place now up and running.

i'm embarrassed to admit , my pizza fix is seriously limited by traffic conditions of all things ***** love gourmet pizza but getting over there during the middle of the day

is a nightmare . and gawd, the original location of piccolo roma, across from st mall ? i just can't imagine many make it over there. certainly plenty of avail commercial space :emo:

within the city limits. ooohhh, fri and sat nites pizza company open until 12pm , posri rd location near tungsri muang . good to know krap :party:

PR 3 / Airport.......closed

Rumored to try again....at Mill Place, across from UD Town, within Lumpini project.

Can't say there isn't an effort, though sadly not getting the results one was hoping for. Drove by Posri Village location, no customers. :roll: Simply surrounded by inexpensive food vendors.

Original location by the Museum, and I was a weekly steady customer. Then at least quite a few more efforts, besides the Chateau location, which I never visited.

Along with USA Foods, an attempt at franchising a few years back. 'A' for effort anyway.

Mill Place may do better, as a bit of upscale clientele, needed, since so many do Pizza and Italian now, as one of the easiest fares to cook, and inexpensive with a nice profit margin. Seems the Thais have perfected their offerings, and a very competitive market.

Though 'Chef's Table' will also be there, offering a wider range of offerings.

Loki is quite right . its usually madness over there after dark. all those flea market vendors

have to park somewheres, usually a couple hundred folks eating & listening to music they need parking

then the Lotus shoppers. for the vast majority of shops paying rent, very little access unless driving motocy

That's me also.............hit my pizza place for late lunch, and if there in the evening, Wine Society. Can't wait to test out the Wine House. Even closer to us, on the ring road, plenty of parking, and free flow wine on Tuesdays.........

My eating PRII, usually noontime, and usually they were busy. If venturing to UT in the evening for eats, it is to relax at Wine Society;o)

I stop down there quite often for pizza and ribs, just not at PR II, since not open when I dine, and there is parking available when I dine.

Actually plenty of parking in Nevada / IT Plaza, but most would rather drive around in circles for 30 minutes so not to walk the extra 100 meters.......... ***** Along with getting blocked in or a ding in your car...... :roll:

I have a hard time walking past my pizza place, and going the extra few 100 meters, when I'm already there, pizza cheaper, almost as good, and Ree and Gem have local options, as not the biggest fan of "Italian fare" unless cooked by this Philly boy. 8-)

No stock, way overpriced, and have never seen anyone, besides myself buy anything from the frozen or fresh meat section. Well, not me at the meat section, just silly prices. And only lobster at frozen section, since only game in town for that.

Wow. I'd love it if they did, but hard to believe considering the supply problems they are experiencing in the Landmark complex. Interestingly on my visit to Pattaya noticed they had the same problem there;o)
