and with all the impersonators out there? honestly do you even know who you're dealing with? for every thai person with a genuine occupation i swear there are 3 imposters? certainly for police govt officals? now,
to be fair, the OP seems to say even after 2 they must be serving food as well? confusing but following
this logic, they should be able to serve at 12 or 1 pm if they have attained the restaurant classification? it kind of does sound like they got scammed? i'm afraid "bad dream plaza" is a much better name )(*^^

seems like those 2 bars got scammed..............since police station didn't know anything about it. the 2-5 rule was put into effect to stop teenagers from buying alcohol i believe, and didn't relate to bars, since they can't buy in a bar. was for stores, ma/pa shops, gas stations, which now, if next to highway, can't sell anyway, anytime.....inconvenient, but a good thing for long haul driving.

i / we don't frequent strickly thai bars, but would doubt if that got a visit. shame a couple bad apples taint the whole tree............

if the bars are not allowed to open till 5pm , why did they call the place day night , and not night night . which would of been far more appropriate anyways as it does now resemble a sleep zone , the amount of life there is in the place . or for any investers , a bad dream !!!!! **

i.e. so all the "bars" must now become "restaurant / bars". maybe the folks who originally designed
their place in this fashion will come out ahead. meanwhile...in other areas of town...thai clubs stay
open until dawn...even though this is illegal...and they manage to do this how...heh, heh, ^":>

Thailand has a big alcohol and drug problem, maybe removing the advertising is their way of trying to combat this, but as we all know, it will have zero effect. After all, you don't see much advertising for Lao Kao but it is still drunk in large quantities by the poor.

2 bars got fined about 2.000,-Bath each.
Asking for a new rule at the police station, nobody of the police, over there
knows about it.Ging saw yesterday a bunch of them, went into D&N.
The police told the two bar owners, now, after they paid, now they are allowed to sell alcohol. **
Very confused.(That's what there stuff told me,sitting with a beer at 3pm)
We got not even a notice.

All the advertisings about alcohol are gone.
Mine are covered,Tiger Beer from D&N disappeared.
The 2 big Leo Beer bottles at the roof nearby Mojo changed to water bottles.
Shiit is going on here.High season is comming.

Can any one confirm this.

I heard tonight that Day and Night was visited by the boys in tight brown shirts.

They informed the hobbyists that operate bars in the milking shed, that alcohol can not be served between 2pm and 5pm, if you don't serve food.
