The wife's family live there. We visit a few times a year for a few weeks at a time.

The Swedish Guy and his wife ran a small coffee shop which basically served a very limited food menu, which consisted of Swedish
food, the guy lived here part time and was quite often closed, his clientele consisted of mainly Scandinavians.

PS Feeling a little chilly Mike

Hey Mike! The restaurant served mixed menus, Thai and Scandinavian. The owner's wife baked also fantastically good sandwich bread sold for 50 baht kg. The business worked pretty well but unfortunately were dashed by assholes to farrang who came drunk, threatened people and put to much trouble. When the Swedish owner and his wife weighed the problems in relation to the economic benefits, the Swedish owner moved to Baan Phe, where he now runs a restaurant. :!:

You see. This is exactly the info I was fishing for. If I make a bar there, the customers will ruin it. Maybe I'll get the Missus' massive Katoey brother to do security then! :D

Well Roy. You best behave yourself then.:D
This is all hypothetical anyway. The bar trade wouldn't be my first choice were I to move the Thailand permanently. Just weighing up my options. We shall see.
