I wish them luck, the rent on a shophouse that size, in a road like Soi Sampan would command 10000 to 18000 baht minimum, unless they or their family have the freehold.
With the utilities and rent it would be hard graft to make a decent crust if you were renting the shophouse.

aahan-dam-sang = food cooked to order or so says the sign. great photos benzman  hard to keep up with developments on the soi
so the tiger place is now closed...and sinatra's is now closed as well? last few times i've walked by shuttered up? that little pharamacy in
front of day-night didn't even last a month  and now it's been turned into some bar? agree with prenders... how much their rent must be? :?:
and apparaently now the seaside place is...up and currently operating...as they had a crowd of elderly gents in there this morning as i passed.

to clarify, the tiger bar appears to have had all it's fittings removed but tiger restaurant (next door) is still in businesss.
and yes, sinatra's was closed again today so not sure what happened there? previously, the only cheap thai food available
in the region was if you wanted to saunter over that soi adjacent to bus station "rang-san" lots of cook-to-order there. :!:

According to a thread on the other forum: http://www.udonmap.com/udonthaniforum/s ... 25314.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Sea Side 2 is now open.

I used to frequent them in Pattaya, and here in Udon at their first location. Good value for money, IMO.
My two favorites are the Liver'n Bacon and Onions, and Fish and Chips. Plus, many of the Thais I ate there with, said their Thai food was excellent.
At which end of Soi Sampan are they most closely located? Prajak Rd. end or Wattana Rd. end? Same side of street as D&N or same side as Nobi's?
I don't know where Bar Berry was located.
