What screen resolution is the front page set up for?

Just intrigued at it, it loads a bit faster that the other darker page in firefox and ie.

Okay, I'll play devil's advocate ( for which I have an unnatural talent mind you) In the interests of simplicity
I don't think there is even a need for a home page? You can put the ads on the border or margin of the regular forum page? But then I'm just fatigued that 95% of websites anymore are so unnecessarily over-
complicated that they don't even function correctly? I don't think this is clever, I view it as disingenuous?
My favorite websites are wikipedia and craigslist for these very reasons. THEY WORK and they are purely
functional. Seriously, I believe the internet is going to self-destruct soon. I can't even access my own
online banking account because they now have so much flash animation and other garbage the page locks-up.
We are not all operating our PC's under "laboratory conditions" which is what is usually required. Oh, I'm just grumpy today. Prematurely grumpy, possibly grumpy before my time. same as every other day really. *****

Fair points moon.......Particularly Thai Sites take ages to load properly even with a mega-bollo%£$ supa-dupa connection the screen struggles. ^":>

Also not keen on the sky blue graduated background......click on the interactive map link....and that is much better as it has a black background, stands out more a bit more pro....imo.

i disagree with having no front page, as those looking for info, when finally done, will usually go there. those looking for 1st hand knowledge, or chit chat, will go to forum, such as myself, and i don't want ads in the forum, since it really slows things down, IMHO. since many like myself don't have the best conx, it can be frustrating at times waiting for pages to open.

Front Page has an improvement, a few more sponsor ads with colour.. ++)(* ..still say the exchange rates should be moved, as they seem to be in Poll Position....but slowly slowly catchy monkey is the way to go...well if you want to catch a monkey.
