Post by Nobbles » Fri Sep 07, 2012 5:21 pm

Seems like decades ago i used to light a smoke up after a curry in my usual UK Indian joint...and in my local pub after eating, seems almost alien today and hard to imagine it happening now...all for the better of course, i recall all the big HooHar when it was banned in pubs etc

I hate the smell of cigarettes and it really turns me off my food, so I'm all in favor of banning it in restaurants.

I didnt agree with the ban in pubs and bars mind you as for many people that was the main reason for going in the first place to relax with a fag and some booze.

In the UK and other ilke countries why not allow the pubs choose whether you can smoke or not instead of a blanket ban?
A big sign outside says "This is a non smoking/smoking pub" then it is your choice to enter or not.
I would prefer to be in a child free or a non-feminist or non-TV or non-slot machine or non-loud music or non-mobile phone or preferably all of the previous bar/restaurant.
Even better would be all of the previous plus a lounge bar for the women and the public bar for the farting, swearing bullshitters but I am just a miserable old git who remembers the good old days. (:)
Speak politely.
Think however you like.

Hi Dezzer,

I take it you don't smoke then :smirk: :smirk:
