Moderation of the forum

Post by RALPHCUSENS » Sat Jul 05, 2014 12:21 am

It is abundantly clear that the moderation of the forum needs tightening up, therefore I for one will in future be deleting anything posted that is deemed derogatory to other members such as name calling etc.

I am sure that the majority of members will appreciate why this is necessary, I am sorry that it has come to this, but if some members can't self moderate then this is the only option.

I welcome it as this attack and abuse of self moderation on our forum has been out of control.

I have a question, if someone makes a comment that is racist or elitist, would identifying it as such be name-calling? Just wondering because I would simply consider it educating the person on the way their comments can be interpreted--as they may not know it themselves.

I am really disappointed that you have to do this but I understand why. I can only hope that it will be applied to all members and not just a select few. For example, calling someone a racist or an elitist, is name calling; especially if it is only your opinion and you don't have the facts to back it up. I am talking real facts, not just ones that are made up or twisted to fit your needs.

It comes as no surprise that this has occurred and will I hope deter those who feel it is their inalienable right to insult and generally belittle others by using the forum and normally behind a ' nom de plume'
While you are about it, why not insist users have to use easily recognisable names so that everyone knows who they are. It is far easier to name call when you are calling yourself ******* rather than your real name what !! Keyboard warriors will sink into ignominity if they can be easily identified

Is this a JOKE? Here is a guy that is proably the most guilty of name calling and putting people down on the site. But when something comes out about him, which I have not seen him deny yet, then he has discussions with Ralph. What a JOKE....
