Right then my good fellows, as you all know UdonTalk was started with a very definite idea about the use of moderation or lack of it but recently the mods have had to lay that ideal to one side due to certain members showing a complete lack of respect toward each other.
The team has had a little chat and we have decided that we will not let a few individuals force us to abandon our original ethos and therefore a new, new tact on moderation will be in place as of now.
Basically, sort yourselves out, no more bellicose rhetoric, stop reporting each other and trying to use the stricter moderation for your own ends. Stop the name calling and try to be tolerant of peoples views that differ from your own.
If you continue in the current vein an initial warning will be issued and a second infringement will result in a lifetime ban. If you have already received a warning regarding the nature of your posts, the ban will be immediate. No discussion will be entered into regarding either warnings or bans.
Also, the constant slamming of the forum does nothing to enhance the forum, it can only serve to further degenerate what was once a light-hearted and fun experience for our members. We are not saying criticism of the UdonTalk is frowned upon but it would seem strange to us that the main antagonists are also the primary agitants regarding the well being of our forum.
We have to be honest here, both the team and a great number of the membership have really had enough of it as your squabbling not only occurs in the "usual suspect" threads but infects many others too. If you feel this is unfair, sorry about that but you'll have to find somewhere else to bicker as that's the way it's going to be.
Here is an example of one of the many PM's received regarding the atmosphere being created within the forum by a few members.
Normally, I'd reply on the forum but I'm so disgusted with so much of the posting recently that I've decided not to post for a while just because all of the insults and counter-insults have become too much for me to stomach. They have sucked out all of the forum enjoyment for me.
We dearly wish that UdonTalk can return to the entertaining experience it once was and we will do everything possible to facilitate that.
