After sampling the Kebab and Pizza, it well deserves it's own thread, as both were .....well 'damn tasty'... ++)(* ++)(*

A much better location for me and my pizza fix, as we drive by almost everyday. And a reminder, till end of the month, pizzas are only ฿150, and they are a large, just shy of 12' pizza, and does include the pepperoni and seafood selections at regular price of ฿179 / ฿219 respectfully, so quite the bargain. Better than that 2 for 1 Pizza Co offer, IMHO, and chef asked if wanting thin :puke: or regular crust ++)(*

Good flavor, and plenty of sauce, something others scrimp on, with ample cheese and pepperoni. Lovely dough for a nice balance. ++)(*



My Kebab was excellent (฿100), and thankfully Ree tested half, before prying from her, as I had trouble pushing down half the pizza with half the kabab as an appetizer.

Thai food is available, though menu not ready, as I stated on the 'brekkie' thread, just now up and running, and not fully set up, though offering everything. Just let them know what Thai food you want, and they'll go from there. Ree had a kapao moo w/rice (฿65) and was quite happy with it, good size serving which along with that kebab app, couldn't finish.

Free water served, bottled available, along with small selection of soft drinks and beer, all well prices for sm / lg, actually inexpensive for the beer.

Seating is sparce, again, just starting, with about 4 comfy tables, AC'd with couple fans going, so comfy, nice bright atmosphere, as all glass front. Crap snap, too much light, but gives you an idea of the seating, and can see Udon life going by, if wanting.



I believe this will probably turn into a favorite of ours, as simply too close / drive by daily, not to pop in. GormetUdon, a bit out of the way for us, unless over by UD Town. Have to talk the chef into doing some Bruchetta.

Varied menu, below, and they bake there own naan bread for kebabs, along with burger rolls...... ++)(* ++)(* Printing of the menu leaves quite a bit to be desired, as 'comes with baguette is supposed to be on the salad's page, and all burgers and sandwiches come with fries, that go omitted..... A few misspellings............TIT. Kebab missing from menu, but on the delivery menu as 'Kembab'..... As mentioned, Thai menu not out of production........yet.

Make that 'pita' bread for kebabs, as I said naan, though not much difference, softer, the naan, when I make it.

Got 2 Kebabs for dinner, and thankfully the not so little one, after salivating and dissing her 'healthy' eating, though a kebab isn't actually bad eating..........anyway, she ate one, which was good, as no way was I going to eat both. Today's order came with 2 side fries..........

Drove by this AM / 0735 and they are definitely open for breakfast. As chef was sitting outside watching life go by while having a puff.

All those expats that complain, no venues open early, and his brekkie menu does look to be a decent value, has only themselves to blame, as the ones that do open, eventually realize, they wasted their time.

That is very true Loki, the expats that require early breakfast are good at talking the talk but NOT at walking the walk and failing to rise early enough to take advantage. I have in the past often wondered at an early breakfast but living 8 kms from Big C it is rather ludicrous to drive that distance for a breakfast when I am quite capable to making my own but there may well be occasions when an early breakfast is required and Smile is certainly aiming at filling that niche.

Us out of towners, just doesn't make sense to do a special run to town for brekkie, unless you have to have not cooking skills. Now I drive by daily, so may have to test out, though brekkie is one meal, I'm picky about. Thankfully, they seem to be very open to customer service, and tweaking things you way the customer likes. Their breakfast menu, seems geared to you Brits...........damn beans... Though like the tomato and shrooms, if served up that way.

I see they got some new furnishings, and moved a couple tables outside, with some softer, coffee sipping sofa / tables now inside along one wall, and 'sitting' tables along the other.

Think they mentioned trying Bon Cafe for the coffees. Progressing along.

Plenty of parking up till 6pm, as De Brick has plenty, and doesn't open till 6 PM......

Been lucky so far, been there a couple times, less than 20 meters stroll and same side of the street...... ++)(*

Will give it a try soon, hope the sausages are not sourced locally as all in Udon are awful, and the beans are not those sweet Thai ones??? any one tried yet??

If I get there before you, I'll ask what they use....maybe tomorrow if I see them sitting out front.

Do you have a preference on beans, and considering the brekkie is ฿129 / ฿149, and some import beans cost ฿80 - 130 a can....meaning a nice scoop of beans (1/3 to 1/2 can) would cost as much or more than the good Cumberland sausages that I buy at T-Bar market, and they're the cheapest around, and the best IMHO. (5 per 500 gr @ ฿130 or ฿26 per sausage), and one scoop of import beans would cost that.

I always add a bit of bbq sauce and seasoning to beans, as straight out of the can is .........well.......... :puke:

Well if it is called an English breakfast you cannot serve those awful thai things, Brooks are good here, Just got a load in Big C 50 baht a can, bought all on the shelf! better in my opinion to have good contents and charge accordingly, a bit like seaside 2 bloody awful food. but cheap??? so what can one expect.
