Those that remember Cliff from the original night market meetings might like to know he is currently in Bangkok Hospital Udon with dengue fever.Apparently not serious but I am sure he could do with cheering up with a visit from some of the old night market gang .

Does it look like he caught it in Udon? Is dengue a risk in Udon?

Hopefully it's not serious as reported.

A couple of my English friends have caught Dengue in Udon.

Yes, country wide, although Cliff was in Chiang Mai last week.

Also know a few who have had the privilege of experiencing. Quite surprised I haven't been one, as take few to no precautions, though do enjoy my AC.

Went in to see him this morning he seems to be perking up and starting to eat again, even cracked a few jokes so more like the Cliff we all knew . Apparently he started getting the symptoms while up North but they didn't take hold until he was back in Udon .He is on a drip and awaiting the results of a few tests but hopes to get out in a couple of days.
