Making another go at it, and think a much better location than previous efforts, customer base wise anyway. Lumpinin Park complex across from UD Town (McD side). Sure to have ample parking. Nice pit stop in the AM before morning chores or hitting Villa Markets a bit later.

Traffic can be a bit nightmarish at rush hour ....... BUT .... there is a skybridge / overpass walkway, a rather nice one ++)(* , from UD Town parking lot, to Mill Place. Avoiding actually trying to get to Mill Place at rush hour, which could be a challenge, if not coming from Nong Bua rd or SN direction. Non rush hour really shouldn't be a traffic issue.

Early morning breakfast, though not sure if including coffee, as not listed. Either way, mere ฿99 for a filling western brekkie is hard to beat.

When I landed eons ago in Udon Thani, Picolo Roma was near to the Ban Chiang Hotel and as such was one of a very fe3w places offering Non Thai food palatable for foreigners like myself. it has over the years moved constantly and although its offerings have always been adequate , nothing that would make you say that is the best in Udon,. despite at the beginning the owner was spouting how good the Italian offerings were.
Nowadays with many more eateri8es that serve Foreign food one is spoilt for choice from very good to above average, including more than one Italian restaurant offering their wares. So although I do not say Picolo Roma is not good it has to offer outstanding offerings to make me even consider parking and walking to it, and these days eating out at night is getting more difficult as the town centre is a traffic nightmare most nights at the time I wish to eat. And Mill Place is one place I have no desire to visit at that time of night .

That sounds so long ago some of us might even have been slim back then. :)

They have opened an outlet in the food court at Makro. Had a Tuna sandwich (50baht) on Sunday and a great Chicken Pizza (60 baht) on Sunday. They had some great looking Pasta and Lasagna dishes as well. Will try next time. I seem to be in Makro at least 4 times a week at the minute so will become a regular customer of theirs. Never met them before Sunday but they seem very nice people.
