maybe not so good anymore :-? that's the second time in a row ive eaten there and gotten a queasy , gurgling stomach ***** i couldnt help but notice

the normally full restaurant was also empty. maybe something has gone queer in the kitchen. it " was " an exceptional well-run place but things change

and the good news is there are new restaurants nearly everywhere in the city opening on a weekly basis. mug burger , greed pizza, papaf's open again

Oh that's not good. Not been for a few weeks but is one of the few places my wife likes as she gets the rice soup and really enjoys it.

I'm at the point now where I'm not really in the mood for a big fried breakfast anymore. Couple slices of toast with Nutella or fried eggs from Nong Prajak does it for me. Unfortunately my daughter loves McDonald's for breakfast and during school holidays normally gets her own way.

the new fuzzy ken's is open and he's even got used books for sale :?: he does an english brekkie ( almost opposite 7-11 at bus station)

yeah the 1st time it was thai food and i thought a one-off. the 2nd time the full breakfast  and as i looked

around the normally full restaurant, there was only one old guy in front drinking coffee :? who wants an upset stomach for two days :-?

as an aside, do you guys notice the difference in quality between McD's at mall and McD's at udtown? big, big , difference for some reason :!:

(with ronald's at central being run properly , the branch at udtown is consistently off, with lukewarm food and stale buns krap)

Poped in for a beer few weeks back. He's gone for the minimilist look. Very retro 1980's working man's club :)

Actually there was a middle aged backpacking couple in there. The man ordered a sprite then the women went to 7 eleven and bought a pot noodle and coffee and brought them back and the pair of then had a nice time eating and smoking. Not sure poor fuzzy made much from the deal. Maybe 3 baht on the price of the sprite!

i forget how difficult it is to run a restaurant / bar here :drunk: i stopped in my favorite bar mcleans to have a few whiskies

ordered 4 boxes of thai food (which i gave two to staff) and listened to some walter mitty type tell tall tales about how he was

a local enforcer in udon (as he nursed his 20B soda water for hours on end) and very nearly appeared to be a disabled cripple a scant few

years older than i :!: i think i could have pinched his ear and he would have cried for help  70B whiskies and normal prices for other

drinks in a no-hassle setting. but now, i haven't been to the sports bar down the street which is hugely popular with the brits i think

Is Gorm still running the place or has it changed hands again?

i praised the place several times previously and recommended it :!: just drove by 8pm and it looks nearly deserted ? something has changed but that's

standard for restaurants here. as an EX. i used to go to the country grill on soi 5 with a mate. they had a thai girl cooking the french entrees and she

could do a good breakfast omelette also. just had aptitude. then she left to take care of her kids . and the place nosedived. believe it's now closed. :?:
