At the Wood Swing as I type waiting for the band to start.
Nice place with some atmosphere and quite busy. Decent wine selection would keep Pomps Happy and plenty beers for me.
Nice for a change. All staff dressed in period speak easy attire and walls looking like turn of the century Paris.

Let us know the price tag Hamlay! The fare on that menu that was posted looked pretty pricey!

We have had a great night. 3 glases of Red, 3 big bottles of German White beer and lots of food: sift shell crab, dry aged beef, pork curry and a sweat and sour chicken. Plus my daughter has had a milkshake and spaghetti bolognese.
.......waiting for the bill now

3 glasses of red turned into 4 and 3 large Erdingers turned into 4. Got a fuzzy head this morning. Must be from the loud Jazz music :shifty:
Total bill 2,900 baht. No silly service charge and a really good night. Place was full when we left with lots of tables outside on the pavement as well.
If I'd drank Thai beer and if the wife was not drinking the bill would have been closer to 1,000 baht for 3 people which is good value.
They also had a large whiskey menu. All top brands and was expensive.
For a special occasion would highly recommend it. Band starts are 8.30pm and you could easily spend the night there.
