Faroh East Restaurant

Have two choices, aircon area or small huts in outside area.Have been going here on and off for many years now and have never been disappointed with the food.medium price range but value for money IMO.Always had cheap options re porksteak/chicken steak/beefsteak.
Garlic bread here is the best out of the restaurants tried in Udon,60 baht for 8 pieces.Negative point being the cost for large Leos 75 baht and Singha 85 baht.Cheese Macoroni 120 baht was tasty.Raw shrimp with seafood sauce 130 baht but big plateful (11 shrimps),Spicy Beef salad damn good.
Pictures in the menu to help and the Pancake breakfast at 120 baht looks a sure bet for me next time.Wanted to try the dessert but full up!
Map ref E5.

If anybody else would kindly mention any other dishes worth ordering, thx 8-)

i've had their pork and beef steaks, rather good, which is saying something for here, since beef is usually tough as leather. they've been off the radar for a long time, have to stop back in, glad to see they are still there. 8-)

I had their spaghetti and meatballs awhile back and it was filling and tasty ++)(* It took awhile to prepare (20 mins) so I phoned it in the second time to get it going before we turned up so we could all eat at the same time ++)(*
Been in and out over the last 5yrs and have never been disappointed .... even when they f#cked up the order and I had to eat something else ( 2 times so far and each time they offered to replace the meal ... but each time it looked so delicious that I ate it!!! )

When I mentioned Shrimp dish, twas actually medium sized prawns. Both the Thai dishes came on 9 inch x 9 inch dishes and no skimping, plenty of food. The dessert shown in the menu was called 'Kilamanjaro' looked like a serious piece of chocolate fudge cake or maybe just chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.
Shame price of beers on the high side, their redwine ok and water at 10 baht so up2u. 8-)

Opening time 10am.

Just to update the spicy beef salad.ask them for the barbecue beef as is better.Another satisfactory filling there today.
Just want to throw in some more prices/meals into the hat.
Ostrich Steak 260 baht,Crocodile Steak 250 baht,carrot/spinach/corn/chicken/bacon soups at 80 baht. 8-)
No Kilamanjaro cake/ice cream available at the moment but some delicious blueberry icecream cake.
