Had another kebab last night, they’re lush. The sun dried tomatoes & slightly pickled salad really sets it off as does the (homemade?) garlic sauce & the definitely homemade chilli concoction.
An added bonus is they seem to travel quite well too. I took this one home & it was still nice

Fancied a falang fix last night. Posh Sausage and mash at the Witches Brew in Khao Yai. Cheesy garlic bread as a side.

The Witches Brew looks like a good place to keep in mind when visiting Khao Kai. We enjoy our trips there.
This evening I've having creamed chicken livers on rice with a sprinkling of crispy bacon.

I stuck to Asahi. I'm a Bud drinker. What would you expect?pomps wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 5:07 pm No skimping there![]()

The other 2 nights we ate at hotel restaurants.
First night was Kirimaya where we're staying. It was pretty average which was disappointing as I've always enjoyed the food here ( breakfasts are incredible btw). Last night was a special occasion so we went to Castle restaurant at Thames Valley resort instead of our usual Thai haunt. Again, it was decidedly so-so.

Mrs. S made pad grapao moo khai dao for dinner this evening. Spicy hot but delicious. Had to have seconds.

This evening Mrs. S made goong thang (กุ้งถัง). Literally "shrimp bucket". Very spicy and messy to eat but delicious! If you order this at a restaurant that specializes in goong thang they will often just dump the bucket of shrimp/prawns onto the table (paper lined) and eating utensils (forks, knives & spoons) are not used.
