Sukanya Indian

Post by Niggly » Fri Aug 01, 2025 12:35 pm

How am I supposed to know you have to go barefoot into the restaurant?? It probably says it somewhere in Indian, Pakistani or Thai but not in the Kings English.
Also, while I’m at it, Google Maps is wrong. Shows being on the corner of the prison but it’s actually through the lights & about 50m on the left.
Parking is sh!t too.

Right, the order
1, Chicken Jalfrezi
2, Garlic naan
1, Garlic & cheese naan (only thing I could persuade Mrs N to try)
2, Popadoms (no idea how many is in the portion)
2, Chapatis

1, Chicken Jalfrezi - 10/10
2, Garlic naan - a bit spongy & thin but not bad 8/10
1, Garlic & cheese naan (only thing I could persuade Mrs N to try) - 0/10 you just can’t please some people
2, Popadoms (no idea how many is in the portion) - 2 per portion & if I’m not mistaken bought in 0/10
2, Chapatis - nothing like what I’m used to very similar to the naans which I’ll stick with 5/10

Now, the million baht question that has been bugging me since I got home. Is this place the same people as Kera Cafe?
I’m sure the same chap served me.

Is this a new Indian?

Saw the owner of Primaris in Global house so guessed he's still open? Never got the time to go.

Worst holiday ever and still not fully recovered from jet lag and chinky flu and we've been back home over a week.

Don’t know how new it is. Unsurprisingly it hit Pomps radar so I thought I’d give it a try.
Haven’t got round to Primaris yet. It on the same street as Mrs N’s salon & parking is a nightmare particularly when the Chinese lady on the end decides to unload 3-4 trucks across the street it blocks everything off. However, I did take parking into consideration when trying Sukanya & it’s just as much a clusterfcuk there as well.
Actually thinking back, we were at a birthday party a couple of months back & the host sent a Maxim taxi to collect from Primanis. There was only prawn vindaloo & butter chicken left when I got to the table but they were jolly nice

It’s quite nice isn’t it. I like the garlic naan breads that accompanied my chicken jalfrezi.
Just wish we were in the delivery range so I don’t have to find anywhere to park.
