Well, the Republicans are now in control of the House, but one question centres on the people who ran on the Tea Party agenda. How will they work with other members of Congress? Can they compromise? Will they work with other Republicans?
At the moment, it looks like the Senate will be closely divided between the two parties.
Will Obama pay attention to these results and adjust his programme to be more responsive to the American public?
Let's see what develops.
Oh, and one question for the conspiracy guy, whose name I have temporarily forgotten...what role did the Zionists play in this result?
It's Jockey, who is better than the Grizzly and Gooner at analysis and providing some explanation of the large number of video links that he makes.

The new members of Congress are not there to compromise with the progressive/socialist agenda. They were elected to restore the republic and the individual liberties that have been taken away. Republican incumbents who were re-elected had better be paying attention. Some Republicans lost and were replaced with more conservative candidates in this election. There will be more in 2012 if they do not have the will to do what they were elected to do.
Liberals during this election cycle have attacked people as 'extremists' if they stand for the US Constitution, want to cut spending, want to reduce the debt, and want to restore our federal republic. I don't anticipate there being much compromise those areas. Off hand, I can envision a compromise in extending the tax cuts from 2001 and 2003, but not much beyond that.
Will Obama pay attention to these results and adjust his programme to be more responsive to the American public?
I expect Obama to go full steam ahead and blame everything on the Republicans (even when they were in the minority and could do nothing) -- as he has done from day 1. Obama's vision is so far left that he is incapable of meaningful compromise. He has proven that already. He has not done anything in a bi-partisan way since being elected, and has repeatedly demonized Republicans and reminded them that he won.
But this is the Bar & Restaurant thread. Oh wait, Arjay and Bob Helm aren't on this forum, are they?
UT3750, I wouldn't mind continuing this discussion in the debate area if you see fit to start a thread there.

the House is out of Dem control, and the Senate, think Dems lost 5 seats, which since they controlled a majority, 50+, that's almost 10 %............and considering quite a few Dems are distancing themselves from obama....not sure if they will control the senate........so the usa is faced with gridlock, or a lot of vetos, again, gridlock......not necessarily a bad thing. see the dollar took a 20 satang hit today on elections uncertainty, lovely.
staying on topic ....... 652 ........ about the same amount of days left until we know who the next round of idiots will be trying to run the country into the ground, or save it from the last 2 idiots.

Who, Jockey or Obama or Grizzly and Khun Ron? Obama was on tv trying to explain away his heavy defeat so he is not the cave dweller.

Great, that narrows it down to about 500,000 choices. I think it is time for me to bid adieu and go and listen to the new cd by Tukatan Chollada.
