Thought for 2011

Post by steve » Sat Jan 01, 2011 4:03 pm

Whether it is the Irish Clock, Nobi's, The Bookhouse, The chipshop, all the bars in Day Night, all the bars in Nutty Park and the many other bars out on the streets we are all here to provide a service for the expats and tourist's alike and maybe to make a bit of money also. Whether it is a good or bad service should decide our fate as many owners would have found out last year and the previous years to that. It is not down to any individual to try and decide our fate for us. There is nothing wrong with constructive critisism but there is no need for damaging critisism. I am sure that the majority of these business owners would agree that it is hard enough to provide these services without anybody trying to damage them as well.
Lets all try and get of to a good start and if you do have a genuine gripe go to the owner in person and I am sure they will be only to happy to sort it out for you. Please don't splatter it all over the forums.
Happy New Year to all.

Happy New Year to all.
I dissagree... When a business owner uses unethical business practices, such a stealing/bribing anothers cook or wait staff, he should be talked about. I know from experience it is very hard to find good reliable help here. I give this as an example, of one of many, unethical business practices that can and do happen. I, for one, will only visit establishments that I know operate in an ethical manner. To these good folks, I Wish a Happy New Year.
