Saying the market or fast food outlet is to blame is rubbish you don't have to buy it period

the fast food outlets are 100% to blame in my opinion, they target kids! peer pressure etc and kids love fast food. kids dont love tesco's but due to marketing they do love mcd's..
happy meals, kids clubs, play areas are not an accident but a marketing strategy to target kids.

on a level playing field kids would have barely heard of mcd's, take subway for instance, they dont target kids they dont put multi million dollar adverts on tv aimed at kids. no its good marketing and it works well! so you cant say they are not to blame even if partially!
Pizza Thai posri rd market, nomsangsong market and thahan rd market!,

having read the majority of the posts, I find myself laughing about the comments made by some. Lets start with facts, Tesco started in Golders Green , London,it was called J J Cohen then, underneath the Underground bridge by my school friends dad following on from the obvious success it grew to be what it is now, unfortunately i was unable to find the money to buy and 'A' share when it was offered to me, but thats life.
TRUE SOME OF THE FOOD SOLD IN ALL SUPERMARKETS IS BAD AND SOME INS'NT, but it is up to the consumer to buy what they like, horses for courses I say those who like the fatty foods and the sugary stuff buy it, if you buy fresh food, it is how you prepare it for eating, if you add fat, sugar etc then it is just as bad as some fast foods.
Take into account that peoples life is generally more sedentary as well, 20 years ago cars were rare here, people walked, my ex's grandparents walked from south of Kohn Kaen to Nonghan, with 3 children can't see that being done to day can you, people spend more time sitting at computors, TV's and the like, the days of playing with friends until the wee hours is gone.
When most of us were young we played with our friends running about, and all that, I even went swimming on a Saturday morning
( all morning ) , nowadays kids just sit at home playing electronic games ...exercise non-existent.
Schools had PT periods that we HAD to attend now not the same at all. Thai schools do NOT have a recognised exercise period at all .
You see the children here, ride everywhere walk...that is a no no.
it is the lifestyle coupled with the better advances in providing reasonably good food, then people will get fatter , since here I have stuggled to keep my weight down, to an acceptable level due to a more sedentary lifestyle. kids here like the fast foods and sugary stuff because it tastes better then most Thai food, so to change that requires a vast educational programme to change the eating habits of Thais, they fry almost everything in OIL, fat and sugar is part of their diet coupled with the no exercise regime then you have fat people.......YOU CANNOT BLAME on food outlet or the other, people have choices we just maybe more in tune with our bodies than they are I do not really know.
Eccentrics are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd

Correct Dave,
money,money,money...that's behind yhe food industry.
They don't care about healthy people, vitamins, minerals, enzymes,
just profit.That's the one side.
The other side,
are the lazy or uneducated, desinformed or lazy and/but educated, informed people.
Look at Beermonkey,
he is growing sweet basil at home, herbs for his kitchen.
But,he loves Mc Donald.
I growing herbs,vegs,
but sometimes I love BurgerKing.
Fritz loves KFC.

Why?
Even we know,Mc Doof is a shit,expensive.
But maybe we are lazy? Instead of buying the right stuff, cooking, cleaning, eyc.?
Worst case is growing,fertilizing,harvesting,cleaning,transport..before you can eat.
Than the additives, like sugar,glutamate,etc...makes tou want to eat more...
Like Dogfood, they put different additives,so Giggi want only this meat from this company.
And it is...

So,
even I know all this,
growing herbs and vegs organicly,
do all the best for my reataurant and my cistomers,
I can't wait for a sappy Doppelwhopper cheese next time!

You might not like the truth, but it's still the truth.
Tesco Lotus sells far more garbage unhealthy junk food than all the fast food stores in Udon Thani combined.

Correct, you'd have to go to Bangkok for a whopper.
Would you settle for a dripping greasy heart-stopping order of deep-fat fried fish and chips?
