You go and live beside Khun Paul in Udon. I am staying in Toronto, and later, Khon Kaen, but Nan is a nice little place that used to be an independent kingdom.

Okay factual info, the Wat that causes the problem for me is 1km away but as there is almost nothing between me and it, its noise can be annoying, I have one neighbour , the other houses near are old and typical Thai, rarely if ever mak noise, but the sheer voiloume from localised concerts and occasional parties etc, is amamzing, hoiw the neighbours next to them manage I have no idea.
I also have a small bus comopnay nearby and when their buses leave the bass thumpoing out of thsoe buses rattles my windows, the driver must either be deaf or stupid , probably both.

To KK 1895 . My brother loves Nan province the weather especially, its just the regular noise pollution in his local area he finds very annoying.

Good call KP them fancy painted tour buses certainly do crank up the music to a ridiculous brain shaking level.

Lining the walls with old style paper egg cartons makes a reasonably good sound booth ;o)

Still a bit green round the gills here but can i assume this is tongue in cheek ? not very photogenic and an absolute nightmare to paint.

living near a wat is not a good idea. if you can survive the bimonthly
temple fairs , then you have to be concerned with 100 odd dogs dumped there
