The directions that I and LA give at the bottom of page 3 of this thread are both good, between them i think all the information that can be given to get here is posted. Tuk-tuk drivers probably cannot find it without help; the problem is that without good directions it is hard to find. i will try and make a map, but nor sure how i will post it.

Anyway, I have not been pushing the place because have been boosting the fish stocks and getting some small renovations done. Still a work in progress, but I think we are ready to start touting the business to the expat community.

As far as what's the fishing like, depends on what you are looking for. Pond One is stocked with Plaa sawai (typically about 2 kilos) and some Plaa Nin, but not the easiest of fishing. Pond 2 is mainly Plaa Nin, Plaa Tapien and Plaa isok which are typically in the 100-400 gram range. Also some sawai; this currently probably the easiest fishing. There are other fish including Plaa Chon. Pond 3 not often open but mainly small fish of many types, some used for stocking the other ponds. So not a big fish location, more a chuck out a float and relax a bit place. we stock with plaa nin about once a month, fish between 100-500 grams. So you can take some fish home at the end of the day if you want. Takes a while to get to know where to find the fish, but can get a bite a cast - hooking them is the challenge some times.

If not fishing, food and drink in the restaurant, a karaoke machine if you really want it, or sleep in a hut or read a book.

Must point out, not MY restaurant - it is the family's. i just help support it.

Well, thanks very much for the promotion LA. Guess time to put that sponsorship money to one side for udontalk. Hasn't changed much, in 3 years. Not sure if we use the same rice brand, have to ask. I do have some photos i need to upload when i have the bandwidth.

21, toilets may not be up to full western standard, as running water unreliable so bin of water provided; but can sit down, not squat, toilet paper is available and cleaned every day.

Okay Kid, it is real easy to differentiate. My avatar is a giant snakehead (pla shado) and Brick's avatar is a tilapia (pla nin). Pla nin's eat algae, tiny aquatic insects and organic matter. Pla shado's eat pla nins.

Here are a couple of pics of me and pla nins after a pla shado attack. Pla shado are the largest of the snakehead family (hence the name giant snakehead). They are voracious and strike with lightening speed and power. They are my all time favorite southeast Asian freshwater game fish. Tremendous fighters.

Sorry Rick, but he forced me to point out the obvious. :P
