40-50 baht a plate. food at preecha market is
about the best deal in town. seating available also

Yes, I’m particularly partial to the stall selling sliced pork but the tamarind dip has an unpleasant side effect already discussed at length on a different thread

there used to be a shop n there, that served the
most delicious red pork & sauce w/ sliced boiled
eggs over rice. fantastic. as is most thai food when
prepared with just that little extra. its that last 10%
its effort or quality or attitude. just makes dish

that whole preecha/ ud town scene has just exploded at night
centrepoint thats what i wanted to say , huge open air restaurant
area, ud food bazaar as well. needless to say traffic logjam

One thing UT is, a good food town. Not so much western fare, but who cares about that. Just have to put up with the congestion, if a night owl. Or head to the newer 'hip' places. Chomchuen rd and Sinchaithani area was our choice when there. Especially when Wine Society and Grilled House closed up.

I wouldn’t enter the preecha market car park in a car much after 3pm. It can take a good hour to get back out again with all the double parked cars & (un)helpful car park attendants. There’s no way to turn round, you just have to sit in the circling jam to escape
