my thinking , and I'm just gonna throw this out there
because I'm a regular bloke not cambridge educated
is to have (1) day a week, perhaps Sunday afternoon
and just rotate the venue. you only want to go once a month
fine. you want to promote your mates sports bar fine. you
wanna bring kids fine . meet downtown so GF's can totter
off shopping fine. I suspect we would be more successful at
getting a regular group together, at some, any , point in time

Pigs might fly and Cows jump over the moon, tyo be honest the first time was interesting and in some cases illuminating , however even this organisation of like minded normally sensible people is getting to be one of name calling, banned from this and that and then petty name calling, personally I would rather go to a friends kindergarten ( at least I know kids will be kids ) than meeting up with a percentage of disgruntled whinging old sods who seem to wish to score points off the back of others for what some say is FUN !!
If the decision is up to Dean upon his return fine . I will await that outcome with bated breath and clenched teeth.

Well, I HOPE it works out, but in it's previous incarnation died a death about 3 years ago. I gave up organising events after once Zero turned up - didn't realise i was THAT boring. Many of those around then have dropped out of view, and new faces now, so maybe has a chance.
Problem is, ever since parking at the night market got difficult, it has been hard to find a location that suits our partners. So either ask THEM for suggestions, or make it a man oriented event. Actually think afternoons are best, as few of us work, and many are loath to go out far in the evenings.

The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.
