Re: 1st Saturday Monthly Meet Up
That went off much better than I expected, considering the festivities going on now, this week and next, surprised and not surprised and think everyone welcomed returning to the BHC on the 1st.
I was almost a no-show myself …………that would have been embarrassing. Ree had a house warming this morning, so not sure if she would be up for it, as they start early in the am. For some un-godly reason, punishment for bad-mouthing religion, I was up at 4 AM, though very happy that I was and a lovely morning but zonked out twice in the afternoon. To be awakened and informed by Gem, a shopping trip downtown was on the schedule……. :swear: me. So munched at NM, early, excellent as always, since needing to shop there. Little slow getting through town, but VIP parking awaited….NM, which was packed, a pay week, along with Thung Si Muang Festival officially kicking off today. Congestion much heavier, even for an early evening. Have a car-cam vid, that I hope works and I can upload. So it’s nice the BHC is just off the ring road, though I couldn’t take advantage this month.
I arrived late, and knowing a couple regulars weren’t going to show beforehand, but all in all, a very pleasant night of friends. Finally met Khun Paul, very pleasant chap, even though we agree to disagree a lot on the forum, and his long term knowledge is greatly appreciated. Catching up with a few I haven’t chatted with for a while. Nice evening indeed, with the weather co-operating.
The ladies were having a laugh, comparing ‘notes’ on home construction, and we all have to grin and bear it………TIT……..the only answer for all things. Ree and Tim’s lovely, in the been there, still there, done that mode, and all having a laugh with Nom, and welcome to the builder’s club……………all you can do is laugh.
As mentioned, a big heads up, Thung Si Muang in full swing now, along w/King’s BD on Wednesday and Constitution day is next Monday. So avoid or take advantage of any happenings.
Thanks to Jeremy and Nok’s always welcoming hospitality. Till next month. Hopefully cya there.

Yep made it, first time and met a few , smoothed ruffled hairs and enjoyed myself. Was good to meet a few that I have crossed verbal swords with was a very pleasant expereince, will attempt to diarise it for future months, but often other matters intrude, but will definitly not just be a key-board warrior but a real person.

Agreed. A pleasant evening in nice surroundings. Got to meet Khun Paul and noosard for the first time and enjoyed visiting again with those I'd met before. Easy in, easy out and good converstation.

Re: 1st Saturday Monthly Meet Up
glad to hear there wasn't any foodfights or brawls or thrown beer bottles ................nobody said there wasn't any of that, we just said it was fun night......... with 10 people, that would of been a nice rumble, though the food is too good to throw, terry had us salivating as we departed, eating cheesecake infront of us and not offering to buy a few slices for us to take away :x ....
