Unfortunately there is no way of knowing when the Host will upgrade to a version incompatible with us.
It’ll just be like last time when it just stopped working.
On the bright side, they might not upgrade at all for the time being

We couldn't pull the plug and let you retire without your 1,000 post innings!!

As Niggles says we are well behind on updates. Let's see.

993 it is then. I'm going to have to get busy and I try to avoid the internet as best I can when on holiday.

An interesting story.
A bit over 12 months ago Mrs Marj got a job as a cleaner in the Qantas Business and First Class Lounge here in Melb. The cleaning of the lounge is managed by the Accor group and in her previous job she was a room attendant in a Mantra Hotel, an Accor hotel, at the airport in Melb.
After a few months in the job Mrs Marj qualifies for the Qantas/Jetstar staff standby flights program. You fkn beauty I says.
So this trip me, Mrs Marj and Marj Jnr are taking on Monday is our first attempt at using the program.
About a week ago I booked three seats (standby) on a Jetstat flight Melb - Bkk. It cost about 15,000 Baht all up. A good deal. When I booked there were still about 80 unsold seats on the flight. Fast forward to today and there are only 15 seats left. We may not be on the flight. Option 2 is a Qantas flight via Sydney that still has about 30 seats on it. Both Qantas and Jetstar flights on Tuesday have about 100 seats between them still unsold. We will get there. We are meeting Mrs Marj sister, her Somchai and her two kids in Hua Hin on Thursday next week so even arriving Thursday would not be the end of the world (but I would miss out on my night out in Nana and Cowboy if this is the case.)
I'm a shocker and generally book my flights/hotels/taxis... many months in advance so this situation is freaking me out a bit. I have no hotel booked for the first night, but as I'm an old backpaker that doesn't worry me ( Mrs Marj and Marj Jnr on the other hand are used to lobbing into an Accor hotel on arrival) and no taxi to Hua Hin booked.
We'll just have to see how it plays out.
Wish us luck.

I think I’m the same. My OCD kicks in if I haven’t got firm plans in place.

Need to plan our week long holiday at thabks giving which seems to be last week of November. Daugher is on school break and i'll take a weeks leave.

Can't bear the thought of more flights so thinking of heading south to Miami for couple nights then heading further south to the Keys. Gonna watch the new Road House for some inspration of what to do in the Keys. (Am i being a dumbo, is it Keys or Quays? Probably overthinking it as the Yanks are not known for upholding the Kings English!)
