Nok's Restaurant, Udon Thani. (Formerely, Sangkaew).

The best or the worst, is it last or first? Let us know.

yes a donation box for local orphans home would most certainly be
quick way for farangs to be charitable at their local restaurant

no doubt the list of necessities not being met could be improved

a very worthwhile cause

I personally like to know how my donated funds are being spent. How donors monies are spent by the Red Cross are closely guarded secrets with a horde of lawyers protecting those trade secrets. Red Cross is in it for the business.

Loaded up the truck on several occasions to help those in flood areas, and also have donated to various children funds, don't concern myself with scams, know they exist, shame on them, not losing sleep;o)

Good on you Alfie, Nok & friends who helped.

Since this is a thread about Nok's Restaurant & the food... Perhaps, all the posts after Beatus's post w/video yesterday, even though the subsequent posts are all well intentioned, ought to moved to this thread: http://www.udontalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14213" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?

When it all comes down to it...It will be individual acts of kindness... ++)(* Attempting to organize anything as a group in this city is futile. IMO

Agree JJ, though there are some great individuals in this city who donated to my charity events in a big way.

from the other side, may want to ring them up before heading out to munch their fine wares, Alfie had an oops, and needs some TLC occasionally...
Last night, Sunday, was surprised Nok's was closed so I called Alfie, who asked I post this message. He is unable to type himself for the moment.

Unfortunately Alfie had a motorcycle accident and broke his collar bone, so Nok's may have occasional need to close when normally they would be open. If in doubt, feel free to call Nok 081-367-1878 to make sure.

I do not want this message to discourage anyone from going, in fact I often recommend Nok's to people willing to visit the Nongsamrong area, excellent farang and Thai food at very reasonable prices, from a most diligent and cheerful Kuhn Nok.
