Just a reminder for those who didn't know already or may have forgotten, due to voting there are no alcohol sales between 6pm Saturday the 16th until 6 pm Sunday the 17th. We will be open for business from 6pm on Sunday. BTW don't forget we now have Guinness on tap.

Just to let everyone know we will be closed over this weekend due to voting and will re-open on Tuesday the 26th.

A further note to mention.
Purchase any 2 of our premium range of refreshments and receive a free hot dog or burger.
The fridges and Taps are now full and we have some exciting new lines in both. We also have some lovely Spanish red and white wines on Draught .

We are still working on remodeling our menu and will be introducing some tasty new lines shortly,
but as of now most items on our current menu have been heavily reduced. You can now also enjoy a very nice coffee
( imported from Holland/ Take 5 Coffee) after your meal. And if you do love the coffee the Fantastic little machine and coffee are available for purchase here at the Tap.

We will work hard to make the Tap a great place to visit for all. And thank you to those who have been patient with us and have continued to support us through this transition period.

Good luck with the new venture Colin, the Tap used to be my favourite daytime place for a pint of OSHE. Hope you've still got that pump going.
Must say though, your special seems a bit strange, buy two upmarket menu items and get a free burger or hot dog. Do you really think someone buying and eating your delicious steaks would really want either of them?
Thanks to everyone that voted For Boris, this day 31/1/20 would never have happened without your historic win.

really? Unless it's been trashed that is very good value. The fixtures and fittings were / are all top notch.

I'd have that for 'Fat Hamleys Bar & Grill'. Good location, good parking, etc

Apparently the place in still in tip top condition, DM was in there the other day servicing the taps. Said all is needed is the shrubbery sorting .. Oh and be allowed to open and sell beer again. Seems to have been a run of bad luck on the place , poor management when it first opened , then a move to be more of a restaurant but without a focus on what kind of menu ,then the virus with all the booze bans. Then Paul passing on . not a good time all round . not a great time to sell either.
I personally would turn it into a steak house ,truth is that trying to get it up and running again will take time and an owner with determination. Plus you simply don't know when things will normalise again.

was Paul the young(ish) guy who bought it? Was an IT type guy?
Talked to him several times. Didn't realise he'd past on. Can't of been much more than early 50's?
