I eat there regularly and can recommend the food and Alberto is a nice guy

^yes, that's his name. I had forgotten, he's about a bantamweight, a bit hard to approach, but after a few compliments on his fare, he warms up, and softens generously.
His calzones are excellent. I highly recommend them. He's never heard of a Stromboli, which, to North Americans is a staple of pizzarias. Named after the famous volcano -- with a fat Italian sausage tucked in the middle. Provisimmio! Yes, it's Sicilian, but, geez... do Thai restaurants in Genoa only serve Isaan gruel or Southern Thai curries? Just kidding. Stick to your base.

I still visit The Lil Italian frequently. About due for another.
