Seems there are people in the know regarding updates re the biz but no updates on the thread

,so may I post some info that anyone can confirm or deny, biz sold for 100k to Squires and Co who then sold the biz for 250k to another interested party, naturally all the draft systems been taken out in the last few days by DM as not part of the sales biz and the biz should end up being Thai related foodwise.
Apparently sold again

, so 3 owners in a few days. Don't know the amounts though ,I think an Aussie has it now
Hope the Aussie can get it set up as a sports bar, would be loverly
An Aussie did come to look .. i knew him as he was a customer of the first Chern Chim shop in years gone by .. he decided not to buy it from Roong, but it was bought by a young lady called Mint , very nice girl who already has another bar /restaurant location in Udon ... she has just confirmed she is stripping the Tap location out and selling off everything she doesnt need at her other venue... the Tap units will be returned to the landlord from 8th August when the rent period runs out..
All the numbers i am hearing are not remotely accurate to what was paid .... It was sold twice within a month and regardless of the price all parties Emm , Roong and Mint all seem happy with how its worked out ... and im ok as DMs draft taps will be removed ready to be fitted in Perr bar at Nong Prajak lake in the near future.

Perr pub is next to Sumo the Japanese restaurant that now occupies the old AUA language school premises right on the lake , big place with live music .. Perr have been a customer of ours since they opened and get very busy .. the owners are all police and were regulars at the Tap during our time and after.

Now I’m really confused. Why buy somewhere if only to give it back to the landlords in a months time. I never have & never will own, partner or run a business by the way.
Is it by asset stripping they hope to make a profit on the purchase price?

DM says the prices I quoted were way off the mark so I suppose without knowing the actual monies paid ie rent arrears and cash paid, then hard to say.
Tis strange buy a business to asset strip to make a profit, hopefully they have enough specialist beer signs, shelving and chiller units, specialist glassware to make a profit,if they want to shift whatever stock they had left then would be interested with some at half price, most Belgian beers have long shelf best before dates so easy DM could buy the stock himself to sell onto the new biz who wants the draft system.
Thought its location at a junction ie easy visibility plus new road outside and plenty of parking, beer garden gives it enough positives to get the punters in for any business but what do I know

DMs not really interested, he was in yesterday but only to collect some items that have to be returned to the importers and looking to clear out the pump systems. kind of sad seeing the place get dismantled . i went looking for chairs but all a bit hiso and not suitable for outside use. i did end up buying a few signs myself, someone else purchased all the benches out the front. i guess basically with all the booze bans investing in a business at the moment would be too much of a gamble for anyone.

The police karaoke bar investing in the draft system now when there is a booze ban is taking a chance, may as well buy some of the stock also even if cannot sell
Hopefully the new owner sets up a facebook page with all items left for sale maybe even all the aircon units have some value also
Did not realise there was already selling of the assets going on,certainly quick off the mark to get people buying at a price to get back their outlay

By the look of it most stuff already gone, not much stock left either. Probably enough to fill a triple fridge. Looked like previous management had tried to drink the place dry as it turned out most of the bottles on display were already empty. A real shame.

Yep .. tizz a bit sad really seeing it be stripped out .. but hey ho thats business ... many circumstances combined to get to this stage
Agree a strange turn of events via the 3 Thai ladies involved .. you met Mint yesterday Dean shes a nice lass and seems happy with what she paid the place and the assets within tho i dont get the return to landlord bit as a good location

.. Mint and her friends are getting through the beer stock rapidly im assisting when possible

, outdoor benches sold along with quite a lot of other stuff but plenty of nice fittings signs , lots of shelving , display chillers , a POS system , 3 LG Smart TVs still up for grabs at bargain prices... , i bought the big wine rack yesterday and scheduled to remove Taps n Chillers etc Thursday .. Perr want to put our draft beers in so can just install all equipment ready but not jump the beers until restrictions ease (next year

).
There will be some kind of payment from the road people / highways dept as damage to the garden etc during the revamp on the intersection .. but nice paved paths and new entrances exits to the car park will improve the location.
Im guessing the units will be taken again in the near future

and be interesting to see what kind of business arrives..
Correct also im not fussed ... Dao n I have been offered the place back on a walk in free deal but no way hozay ,.. my publican days and smiling at people are over im sticking to the wholesale n distribution where being jovial isnt compulsory.
I will still be able to go visit the benches as they are staying in Udon
