Is Somerset still the official home of Cider or does Devon take that accolade??

Herefordshire is the largest producer of cider but I think that Zummersett is the traditional home.

There used to be a real cider house not far from me. Tuckers Grave in Falkland.
Didn’t have a bar, just stacks of casks of cider along a wall. Don’t think they sold anything else.
They set up a camping area because everyone got too mullered to get home.

Rosie's Cider near Wincanton produced Bath & West show award winning cider.
If you bought the rough and kept it in the fridge you had to burp (de-gas) it every few days.
Both rough and vintage were bloody lethal.
Sadly he died and no one took it on.

Jon used to have a scrumpy type cider many moons ago,got the locals drunk on that,marvellous 8-)
