Herefordshire is the largest producer of cider but I think that Zummersett is the traditional home.

There used to be a real cider house not far from me. Tuckers Grave in Falkland.
Didn’t have a bar, just stacks of casks of cider along a wall. Don’t think they sold anything else.
They set up a camping area because everyone got too mullered to get home.

Been many moons since i had a scrumpy jack in one of those clay pots.

Rosie's Cider near Wincanton produced Bath & West show award winning cider.
If you bought the rough and kept it in the fridge you had to burp (de-gas) it every few days.
Both rough and vintage were bloody lethal.
Sadly he died and no one took it on.

Would Rosie’s Cider be the same as the pinkish Old Rosie Cider sold in my local pub?

No. Rosies cider was pale green. Very light and watery looking.
