Re: Bella Italia
There's a small Italian restaurant right next door to Steve’s Sport bar, but I can’t remember the name of the place. Had a pizza there once and must say it was done proper Italian style with plenty of Mozzarella cheese and herbs. Best one I’ve ever had in Thailand.

The restaurant next to the Sports Bar has been closed for a while. Now owned by some Swiss chap who has the novel idea of re-opening as a girly bar. Just what Soi Sampan needs.

Re: Bella Italia
Bella Italia is the Italian restaurant next to the Centara Hotel at the complex. OP wished them good luck on two Udon forums today. Maybe he just had a good feed there and is feeling warm, fuzzy and magnanimous about the place? ><:)( )(*^^

They opened a new restaurant next to Wattana Hospital at Nong Prajak today. The food was excellent. Nice ambience. Thai and Italian cuisine.

Can confirm, excellent extensive menu with pictures to help.100 baht corkage for my redwine but they have a small but decent mix of wines to choose from. Some bottles on a winerack some in the fridge and just say mai keng ie no ice in your glass.Attentive staff, mansize portions mine being fettucine, mushrooms, ham and TW ordered Salmon steak, ended up getting 2 on her plate.Bruschetta nothing to write home about but overall will return to sample the Pizzas.mac wrote:They opened a new restaurant next to Wattana Hospital at Nong Prajak today. Bella Italia is also offering a lunchtime (11am-2pm) buffet.
Have not tried it...so cannot comment on it.
Anyone out there tried the buffet? Reports please.

Re: Bella Italia
just came from there? i was interested in sampling pizza however i can confirm pompui's assertion that they have an extensive selection of authentic italian dishes along with an issan menu. reading the bio(yes, i can read) *****^^ on the inside of the menu enricho and promphan the owners have been in the restaurant business a long time. yes, it is directly adjacent to the entrance for wattana hospital. and i think this place is setting the standard for pizza preparation. i ordered a "pan graphrow moo" which as you may guess, is a pan crust with the basil and fried pork spicy topping. excellent i must say but they had 20 different styles and various additional toppings to chose from. and it was fresh, it is different when everything is cut up to order i'm afraid you do lose a little something at those commericial places with the high volume. and the dining area is very plush? i kept looking around for the guy in the tux playing the violin but i think he was on break. *****^^ now they did have some sign advertising for the buffet outside and i believe it said 99 baht. but as it was my 1st time i'm not really sure how that works there.
