Noks new Bookhouse location

Post by The bookhouse » Tue Mar 15, 2016 5:37 pm

afternoon all. as i mentioned in another thread, nok is planning to open in a new location on sunday 20th of march.

she is putting on a sunday roast special, offering her brilliant dinner for only 100bt, please let all your friends who do not use the forum know, got to be the bargain of the week i reckon.. i think she is starting serving at 12.00
you may wish to book if you want to be assured of air con.

loki has very kindly provided a map of our location, really easy to get to from one side, and a few more twists and turns coming the other way.

nok is still working on the menu, but all the favourites remain with a price cut for most or all dishes, probably the main menu will start on the monday, most will want the roast on sunday i would of thought?

we will no longer be selling books, we will instead offer a bring one take one policy, im thinking this will maybe help with the books being refreshed more regularly..

we hope to see you all there, and as ever we are happy to receive feedback, good and bad, in order to try to make your time spent at the new bookhouse more pleasant..

im probably forgetting stuff so may add to this in the coming days, and will try to answer any questions anyone has..

have a nice day!!

New location is quite easy to get to, even if not familiar with the roads. I mapped 2 ways, depending what side of town coming from, and really, used soi with only one turn, and other way from circle has no turns. Turn at any other soi, and those sois can get confusing back there.

If a BHC fan, then you know the original location and location across from Nong Sim. From those it's quite easy, on Adunlayadet, you turn at Soi 4, (labeled 'alley') then it's a approx. 515 meters down that soi, till it almost dead ends, then simply turn left, go approx 240 meters and you are there. simply look for the open field on the right, and its across from that, being the last building. If you pass it, and go over the little klong bridge, it's about 40 meters from that.

Coming from UD Town / BKK hosp / Central Plaza, it's even simpler, on the four lane from UD Town, pass Preecha NM on left, CenterPoint on the right, and continue through the circle, a school will be on your right, and continue down for approx 850 meters, and again, open field area on right, building on left. Coming from Central Plaza, on Wattana Rd, pass City Lodge, at the circle, simply turn left before looping around to the four lane to UD Town.

From a bird's eye view, and that's Google Earth L/L, and will verify next time I drive by:

And from the Ground Level, what to look for. Pic about 2 years old.

yes 9 till 9 at the moment, although im trying to encourage her to take a couple hours off in the afternoon similar to city lodge hours. we shall see.

im sure nok will be putting mexican on the menu, we are still waiting on the menu, we are on thai time with that but nok will pretty much cook anyone whatever they want if we have the ingredients.

noks mum still doing the thai food, as u say it must be good because it is very popular amongst the thais..

a quick thanks for everyone who came for the sunday dinner yesterday, nok was pleased with the turnout, about 35 sunday dinners served and along with some other stuff made our first day a good one. thanks again to those who made the effort to find us..

have a nice day..

It's one of the rare places that my wife enjoys the Thai food.
